Loewe is Back with the Magic of Howl’s Moving Castle

It was announced that on February 2nd, 2023, Loewe will be releasing their final collaboration with Studio Ghibli. Their last collection together explores the magical world of the 2004 classic Howl’s Moving Castle.

The Studio Ghibli and Loewe collaboration invites audiences of the film into an imagined world made real, with stunning products that include a feathered cardigan to resemble Howl’s bird form and earrings that are a signature of Howl’s character design.

Longtime fans of the film can now enjoy memorable scenes and moments commemorated on Loewe’s signature puzzle bags, tote bags, hoodies, jackets, and shoes, among others. This collection also features an intricate Moving Castle calfskin bag, that is constructed with parts from Loewe’s previous bags including the Hammock, Flamenco, Puzzle, Bracelet Pouch and Amazona.

The Spanish Maison makes sure to capture key elements of the protagonists Sophie and Howl, as well as their beloved gang consisting of Calcifer, Markl, Turnip Head, and even the Wicked Witch of the Waste. The characters can be seen in the embroidery, embellishments, and hand-crafted printed works. 

The Maison had previously worked with Studio Ghibli in creating their 2020 My Neighbour Totoro and 2022’s Spirited Away collections.
